Hello to all players and creators in the Arma 3 community! It has been some time since we last provided an overview of the state of Arma 3 development. We have just celebrated the 8th anniversary since initial release, and even in its 9th year, there still are many thousands of first-timers entering the Armaverse. That is incredibly cool, but we can also imagine many have not read through old reports and do not know about our actual support plans. PSA: listed below is a bugfix for the Shelter bug, but in order to be rid of that bug we had to wipe old shelters, so make sure you create new ones!!!
First of all a highly requested feature not only by you guys but also internally during testing.
You can now switch seats in the vehicle without getting out!
Took a while to do this feature but it is finally here, so if you are chasing that thief across the map and need to switch seats to get a better shot or maybe want to go high speed charge someone and switch seats to confuse them, now you can!
The default keys for switching keys are F1, F2, F3 and so on depending on the number of seats available. Keep in mind you can switch yo seats you can physically access, so you can't just hop out to the back of the pickup mid drive from the inside.
Note that you will have to rebind the event scoreboard from F1 in order to be able to switch to the driver seat.
Ever walked around the woods, lost for 2 days, thinking to yourself "Man. I'm so hungry I could eat a carcass."
Well guess what buddy, now you can!
On those desolate parts of the map, there is chance to find an old carcass! You can definitely loot it to try and find some food, but we do not guarantee the quality of the meat.
Another POI has hit the scene! Welcome to the town of Rogoznica!
A beautiful coastal location set in the Z3 sector,
Introducing the Admin panel. We have gotten requests from all of the server admins for better and user friendly control of their servers. Well here it is! Currently the option to set and update zones in real time is added but more functions will come to it soon!
The interface is user friendly and allows a lot of options on the fly. You can set the position, size, shape even color of each zone and then set what you want to allow or disallow in it.
There are 3 options for each zone:
- Ignore
- Allow
- Block
Allow and Block are pretty self explanatory but what is Ignore? Well in a chance you want to create overlapping zones and there is a parameter you want to keep from another zone in the overlap area, you put ignore on that parameter. Otherwise the region that comes first takes priority, or in case of no overlap the parameter just takes default setting.
After you've set the zones and color you press apply and the zone will show up on the map.
Oh and this also works in Singleplayer!
- Fixed the bug that caused server crashes.
- Fixed the bug where locked chests were unable to move.
- Fixed the bug where it was possible to extend the zoom on scopes more than it should be.
- Fixed the bug where increasing or decreasing Weapon Scope display brightness would turn the flashlight on/off.
- Fixed the bug where puppets would sometimes bug out.
- Fixed the bug where puppets would not drop attached items when looted(ex. arrows).
- Fixed the bug where relogging would make your body disappear.
- Fixed the audio bug on eating meat skewer.
- Fixed grips on opened variations of dog and cat food.
- Fixed the bug where in some cases non alphabetic characters would not show up properly.
- Fixed the bug where player would sometimes not be able to cancel the load action.
- Fixed the bug where puppets struck with with thrown weapons would go blind.
- Fixed the bug that caused FPS drops when looting other players.
- Fixed the bug where explosions would not deal damage to BB elements in SP.
- Fixed the bug where it was possible to overload boltaction rifles.
- Fixed the grips on drumsticks(meat, we have not added drums so don't even ask).
- Fixed the bug where the bow would bugout when added to full inventory.
- Fixed the bug where you could not max out a skill when the attribute related is on border value.
- Fixed the bug where it was sometimes possible to fuel vehicles with water.
- Fixed the bug where you could infinitely decrease intensity on lanterns.
- Fixed the bug regarding shelter and bed spawns.
- Fixed the bug that sometimes caused binoculars to be useless after leaving combat mode.
- Fixed the bug related to the quick access.
- Adjusted nutritional information for pinecones.
- You can now drink Isopropyl Alcohol if you want.
- Improvements to server stability.
- Added new variations of dirtbikes.
- It is now possible to drive motorcycles and hold a gun in the hand.
- Chopping animal meat will now result in meat with same durability like the item that was chopped.
- Crafting arrows and bolts will now properly give XP to survival skill.
- Washing clothes on wells now use 2 liters of water for full wash.
- Added cause bleeding injury characteristic to more melee weapons.
- Fixed quiver visibility when prisoner is in vehicle.
- Added a winter clothing item for prisoners that start in cold areas on the island.
- Added further translations to the game.
- Admins can now set fake names to others.
- Adjusted the animations for controlling boats to make it possible to shoot while operating them.
- The killbox panic button will now only be active when the killbox door closes.
- Adjusted the time when the killbox door starts to close.
- Admin drones can now see door upgrades information.
- #spawnitem command can now also set the dirtiness level on items.
- #spawnitem can now work in 4 different ways, either you can use long sting for location that you can acquire by pressing CTRL and C while using quotation marks, same goes for the location that is acquired by doing #location (player name), you can also use steamID of certain player to spawn item next to him.

Danger is looming over the lands of Chernarus and Livonia. If you’ve seen our teaser from last week, then you’ve probably figured out what that means. If not, allow me to present the contaminated areas. These areas come in two variants: static and dynamic. Static areas are meant to lock away high tier loot, while dynamic areas make the world more unpredictable, which spices up random encounters and forces survivors to reconsider their loot routes. We’ve worked hard to make your experience with the area as immersive an experience as possible through various visual / sound effects. These areas have allowed us to add new functionality to protective gear such as gas masks and NBC suits. On top of that, some major changes were introduced within the central economy configuration to make sure entering the static areas is worthwhile. We also added a new infected type to keep you on your toes at all times.
We’re definitely interested in hearing your feedback regarding the balance of accessing the area, your experience inside the area, the loot from the static areas, and overall performance in general. We’ve made this feature fully customizable, so any server owner can add / remove new static areas as they wish.
Coupled with our work on the contaminated areas, we’ve finally taken a look at the obstructed view of the head and face, as well as other gear-related effects. This includes a reduction in what you can see while wearing various head and face coverings, as well as effects for glasses and even breath condensation on the glass of a gas mask.

Hello there!
Third-party Arma 3 developer Vertexmacht has released the fourth major content update for their Creator DLC: Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany.
On top of various fixes and quality-of-life improvements, Update 1.4 offers a new co-op multiplayer scenario, more "Warlords" multiplayer scenarios, and 8 new vehicles / vehicle variants.
One of these vehicles is the BrPz1, which is a Combat Support Vehicle that lets you build temporary bridges across the rivers of the Weferlingen terrain.
There are also 5 vehicles (2 versions of a Self-Propelled Howitzer, 2 Multiple Launch Rocket Systems, 1 Short-Range Ballistic Missile System) that make it possible to engage in long-range warfare from 14-40 kilometers away.
Lastly, there are 2 additional truck variants that provide more transport capabilities.

- Fixed the bug where footwear would decay faster than it should when mounted on vehicles.
- Fixed the bug where canceling the loading magazine animation would sometimes cause an infinite loop.

- Fixed the bug where camera would sometimes bug out when going prone on vehicles.
- Fixed the bug where crafted water containers would be filled with mystery liquid on creation.

Alles anzeigenLets get on with the post 0.6 updates! There are some heavily requested features, bugfixes and you can get drunk again, what more can you ask.
You need to outrun those puppets and you have a base to build, but all of that makes you really thirsty?We got you covered!
From now on, you will be able to collect and drink rain.
All you have to do is take any viable water container, like a water bottle, and leave it outside while it rains. Although you can leave a regular bottle, it will fill quite slowly so we're introducing a few new items to help you collect the rain faster.
You can cut all of the bottles in half and use them to collect rain, just don't put them in your inventory/hands while they have any water in them because the water will spill.
You can also craft an Improvised Raincoat Water Collector which has a whooping 30 L of capacity.
Here's a pro tip, even though you can't bring the new water collectors with you, you can pour the water to regular bottles and canteens and take them instead.
Oh, and you can also collect water in pots and buckets!
[h4]Drunkenness[/h4]
So, now that you have water to get sobered up, you can also get drunk..because why wouldn't you?
We have re-implemented and improved Drunkenness which now occurs if you have more than 0 g of alcohol in your blood.
The maximum alcohol amount in the prisoner's body is determined by the Constitution attribute and the blood amount in the body. Once you reach the max alcohol amount, you die.
This means you can now have proper drinking contests with your crew! (in-game please)
Being drunk introduces a couple of "difficulties" for every prisoner, including Double Vision, Disorientation, and Dizziness. It will be tough to see what's happening, move straight, you will probably puke, and you may have occasional blackouts.
Disorientation will also make your compass HUD disappear, but only the one you got from the Survival skill. If you have a compass item, you will still have the HUD.
Treatment is pretty straight forward, stop drinking and flush all of the alcohol from your system by any means possible.
[h4]Foot Abrasions[/h4]
Imagine this, you get drunk with your friends, buds, pals, and you decide to go hiking wearing only barefooted, or even worse, in crocs. Not such a smart idea.
From now on, if you walk barefooted you will get Foot Abrasions after a short period of time, and if you wear shoes they will get damaged depending on the terrain difficulty.
So yes, please follow the instructions showed on the image below verrryyy carefully, because nobody will come and save you on The Island.
Movement speed, carry weight and terrain difficulty will influence how much abrasions will you get and how much do your shoes decay (wetness is also a factor for shoes decay). Foot Abrasions come with symptoms such as Pain and even Bleeding (starting on C2 severity).
The pain will reduce your movement speed and you maximum pace to the point where you can only walk but it can be dealt with by taking painkillers.
Treatment:
If there is no bleeding, treatment consists of resting and putting on footwear. It is also advisable to use other movement types such as swimming or driving as they don't scrap your feet.
If there is bleeding, you can use the same medical items for treatment as you would for Bleeding Injury, but there is something more!
By using items to treat the condition, you get Bandage Protection which primarily serves to stop the condition from progressing, but beware, the protection wears off if you continue to move (see the protection level in the condition's tooltip). Bandage Protection is needed only if you still continue barefooted, the best solution would be to put on some shoes.
You better shake the drunkenness off before this part, believe me.
[h4]Loading magazines[/h4]
You maybe have fast hands in real life, but do you have them in-game too?
From now on you will have to manually load each and every magazine, bullet by bullet.
Reloading speed depends on your DEX attribute as well as Rifles or Handgun skills respectively. You can stop the reload by pressing Esc or LMB, with the exception of the M1 clip.
[h4]Weapon parts[/h4]
A feature heavily requested by the community!
From now on, you can disassemble all weapons and use the parts to repair another weapon.
To disassemble weapons, you will need a Toolbox. All weapons have their own disassembled parts meaning that if you dissemble a Kar98, you can only fix another Kar98 with those parts.
Also, if you have any attachments equipped on your weapon, they will fall on the ground upon disassembly.

- Fixed the bug where you couldn't place any items in the improvised raincoat
